It is always so fun to see how fashion changes each year and to see what is trending, 2021 has been the year of the Y2K comeback and I am living for it BUT there are also a few trends that I can not stand like the dad jeans, they just do not look right on me and probably never will. The coolest part about trends is that everyone’s taste is SO different, something I love could be something my best friend hates. Thats the beauty of fashion!!! So, here are some trends from the last year(ish) and my thoughts on each. Do we agree? or disagree? Let me know in the comments!
1. Oversized Jackets and Blazers
LOVE! I am all about this trend to be honest, jackets and blazers are such a great way to take a simple outfit to the next level. Also, when you’re lazy and have no idea what you want to wear – throw on a jacket!!
2. Polo Neck Sweaters/Sweater Vests
B Y E. I will say some girls can pull these off and look AMAZING. But me? NOPE! I love a normal sweater and I will be sticking with those. 🙂 I will say when it is layered I like it a whole lot more!!
3. Cozy Sets
LOVE. IT. I love how these became popular over the pandemic since no one was leaving and now they are just becoming the new normal. I own many and wear them alllll the time! I hope this trend never leaves.
4 . Tennis Skirts
I’m torn. I love it on others and think they are super cute, but I feel like you have to have a particular style/vibe to pull it off. Unfortunately for me, I don’t think I can pull this off. Ugh!
5. Wide Leg Pants
Leave It. nope, nope, nope. Do I even need to explain myself? Why wear something that makes you larger than you are. Again, I think there are a few people out there who can rock em and I will hype them up because I could not.
There are so many more trends out there and every time we turn our head there is a new one. Maybe I will do a part 2 of some others out there that are not fashion based?
