As most of us would say about 2020, there were a lot of surprises. The pandemic has really shifted most of our lives and to think we are going into our third year of this is truly insane to me. I feel like it was just yesterday we were going into lockdown, waiting out those ~2 weeks.~ 2021 taught me to stop waiting around for life to happen, and do what you enjoy – right now. Buy that drink, take that trip, visit your grandma, because you never know when lockdown is going to happen again!! (hehe kidding) but really- you never know what can happen.
I have learned a lot this year; I have quit different jobs, met new people, tried new things, and really started to find who I am. During these times, I have made the best memories with the people closest to me and I could not be more grateful.
I have been blogging on and off since 2018 (wowza!) and I am so incredibly thankful for you all who take the time to read, comment, or like my content. Although I tell myself this is an outlet for myself, it is reassuring knowing I have such incredible people supporting my dream!
I made a few “resolutions” or promises to myself (that’s what I like to call them) & I figured I would share them here to inspire you, but mostly to hold myself accountable.

1. Move my body three times a week
I know some of you are probably thinking “that’s nothing” but – these past few months I have not been focusing on being active. I will go through spurts of being active but then I will stop and not workout for months. I know myself and the thought of a workout makes me REALLY not want to do it. I have decided I am not going to force myself to do a full blown workout, but at least get on the bike or treadmill.
2. Be More Consistent With Content
My goal for 2022 is to show up here more (and Instagram), I have so many ideas of things I want to share and brands I want to work with. There is no better time than right now to work my butt off and get that sponsorship!!
3. Be More Mindful
If you have been here awhile, you know I have anxiety. I have been on medication for about a year, but I want to start learning out to get through those tough moments without relying on medication everyday. I know it is not something that will happen over night, and I will be discussing this with my doctor (don’t worry!) Even if this is something that we decide isn’t the best decision, I still want to practice mindfulness. I found a YouTube channel called Yoga With Adriene (its free!!) and she is the BEST!
4. Save More Money
I am the QUEEEEEN of shopping, I LOVE a good deal. BUT I would also love to own a house one day. My goal this year is to start a true savings account and use that money for a future down payment on a house! — Pray for me.
5. See More. Do More.
I am always putting plans off or rescheduling things because I am such a homebody. My goal for this year is to start saying “yes” to plans more, and to plan trips and following through on them! I am hoping to travel more this year, but that is still TBD (the C word) ugh.
I wish you ALL the best wishes in 2022! Full of love, happiness, cute clothes, good food, and LOTS of coffee!
Xo, Lauren
